Help Me 2 Understand
Women make up 51% of the world's population. We are the nurturers, the peacemakers and consensus builders. Yet, we often stay in the shadows afraid to speak up and share our perspectives and talents. With all the inequality, political and racial division, and "noise" in the world we can no longer afford to keep silent or play small. Women need to embrace their talents and step up to take their rightful place as leaders. I am a wife, a mother of two grown sons, and a former practicing attorney, and so, like you, I have "skin the game." With the HelpMe2Understand podcast, I speak with inspiring women who are making a difference in the world, whether on a global stage or in their own neighborhoods. Please join me in conversations with women who seek to change our world.

About the Host
Felicia Garland grew up in Oregon and after graduating from college, moved to the east coast to attend law school at Georgetown University. GIVING BACK IS IN HER DNA “I’ve been interested in social-justice issues for as long as I can remember,” says Felicia. Some of my earliest memories with my father are riding with him in his pick-up truck on Thanksgiving delivering boxes of food to those less fortunate. “I’ve been working for over 50 years, in or contributing to, causes that I feel make a difference in our community. I hope I have inspired my two sons to do the same.” “So far, so good,” Felicia says proudly.
